I have seen a few metal music reaction videos by people who don’t listen to metal and the reactions have been positive. Some of the reactions were by people who are in the music field in some compacity and some have been from just average joes.
All the reactions made me want to say, “Now you get it.” Metal has had a stigma surrounding it for ages now and I cannot lie that some of it is with good cause. There are some dark metal extremists that have promoted some vile things and even I will admit that there are are dark metal bands that I don’t listen to for some of those reasons.
However, these reaction videos are great. I think they are helping people understand why we are listening to the tunes 10, 20, 30, 40 and now 50 years later. Several collegiate studies have been done describing metal fans are some of the happiest and most loyal of music fans.
