I saw a post on a potential law proposed in Japan on cosplay could be considered copywrite infringement.
When I created Maya and the realm of Sori one of my thoughts was about how awesome it would be to see people dressing up as Maya. Seeing her sword come to life would be spectacular. The old saying that imitation is the ultimate flattery would apply here in my case.
It makes me wonder that if Japan does this then will it appear in other countries as well. How will conventions look if other countries jump on board? Will the law apply to those outside of Japan?
