About
Founded in 2023, Polar Press emerged from a pivotal moment in D.W. Saur’s publishing journey. Faced with the tough choice of reclaiming the rights to Dark Days or letting it fade from shelves, Saur chose to take control. Having invested significant time and resources into the book, he launched Polar Press to ensure its legacy—and to create a better publishing path for authors.
With experience in self-publishing, hybrid publishing, and traditional publishing, Saur understands writers’ challenges. His mission is to offer a supportive, author-first publishing experience—one that uplifts writers rather than exploits them.

Polar Press’ Vision
Polar Press strives to be a trusted home for both new and established authors, offering a publishing experience that keeps writers returning.
Submissions and Genres
D.W. Saur aims to open for submissions in 2028, though various factors could impact this timeline. He is also evaluating the types of contracts to offer, with a strong preference for traditional publishing agreements—though this may be challenging for a growing company.
As a multi-genre author, Saur is committed to publishing diverse stories across various genres. His passion for exploring different literary styles drives the mission to bring high-quality stories to readers without genre limitations. Embracing a wide range of genres ensures that compelling narratives have the opportunity to thrive.
